Wow, just wow. This is a sleeper! I have the first Bobby Charles record and it is legendarily amazing. This is nearly equally great. You can see where he was going with his music before he pretty much disappeared into obscurity. This is such a treat! And nice pressing. Nice jacket with textured matte finish - not the usual cheap glossy stuff. Well done through and through!

These might be demos, but they sound phenomenal. Absolutely nothing to complain about with my copy. Definitely worth picking up at current price while it’s still out there.

Plays exactly as you’d want Bobby’s laid back tunes to sound. They did a bang-up job with this one. I especially like the nod to the front and back album layout of BC’s first record.

My good friend, John Till, played on this record. So of course I had to go get it! I think it sounds great. John told me all about the recording sessions, which took place over two nights, and how much fun it was. This pressing is excellent. The sound is full and the songs are good. They were meant as demos.

If you’re a fan of that 1972 Bobby Charles record or love the sound of the second record by The Band, you need this! Rhino’s deluxe CD from several years ago had these songs on it, but this new pressing sounds so good and happy to have it as its own album on vinyl. Close your eyes and listen and it feels like you’re back in the early 70s
