This merger made no sense. I bought the 7‘‘ in 1985 in a West Berlin record store as a spearate release. Most owners of Halber Mensch do not have this 7‘‘. Halber Mensch does not have a high value, but the 7‘‘ is so rare that it has a high value.

Halber Mensch should NOT have been merged with the 7‘‘ Das Schaben. They also came out separately.

Suprisingly good sound for an industrial album from the 80s.
Das Schaben is an odd curiousity, it's a long drone piece consisting of only scraping noises.
The 12'' actually runs longer than the 7' and CD Version', going around 19 mins (A - 10 mins, B - 9 mins).
The CD version uses only the B-Side, and the 7'' is the B-Side split over both of it's sides (somewhat around A - 5 mins, B- 4 mins).

Is the art of the cover different from the original release? Is the picture from the publication correct?

Does anyone have a comparison to sound quality from any of the issues from 1985?

Its kind of funny, since Das Schaben is just atonal dissonance of scrapping metal it doesnt matter if you play it at 45 or 33 rpm
