Beautiful fidelity. Nice punchy low end yet doesn’t overpower the breathy harmonica. Just another great mono remaster! This sounds more “lifelike” than my SACD; this EQ has an attitude! [Tech specs in my profile].

Edited one day agoThere appears to be a section of damaged master tape used for this press at the very end of B4. Coming out of the last harmonica solo, there are two brief sections where the right channel distorts and cuts out. Pretty clearly damaged tape to my eyes and ears. Hard to hear on speakers, but pretty brutal on headphones. I can't find any mention of it online, and other versions I have checked do not have this tape drop on the right channel, so I have to imagine it was some kind of oversight on damage to the specific set of masters used for this repress. Big question marks about the engineers that sent this off to get pressed without catching it or doing anything about it though.
If anyone can confirm or deny, or has any other info about this, I would love to learn more.
Other than that, this version sounds great. Nice press. I picked up my copy new around 2006ish. -
Edited 3 days agoAwesome stereo pressing for the price. I did have some scuff marks and pressing was slightly dirty. However, playback was really good. No major flaw in the sound. Mixing and mastering is well done as well. Again, can’t go wrong with this for the price.

Pressing sounds good., no technical issues with my copy. Like others, I agree that it’s missing the depth of the ‘65 releases. (I have a first pressing but only in G/VG shape). But for this price, definitely worth it for a clean listen.

7/10 reissue, OG US beats this but that costs money. This cost me like $15 USD so excellent for price.

My version is as the comment above - on the label it has (CS 9128) underneath the S BPG 62515 identifier to the right of (side) 1, itself to the right of the spindle hole.

Superb sound. Definitely knocked this one out of the park. Definitely a must have for any audiophile or bob Dylan fan.
