So I'm quite interested in remakes of old dance tunes (classic or otherwise).
Anyone know any good ones?
Here's some i know off the top of my head to get the thread started:
Various - Hed Kandi DJ Sampler Volume 2 - A1 -

This was a big cover version / remake in the UK club scene: The Silent Underdog / Pigbag - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag -

Neil Landstrumm / Matt Whitehead - Brutality / To The Beat
Brutality = Blake Baxter - Sexuality
Energy Cash = Joey Beltram - Energy Flash -

Supposedly a remake, sounds like a remix: Zoo Brazil - The Age Of Love -

I Luna C did a project a few years ago, which was essentially re-imagining a bunch of early 90s classics, as how they might sound if they had been made recently (that is, in whatever year he did it). But I don't know where you'd find them. It did seem like a project that was maybe more interesting to the producer rather than the audience but maybe that's just me being a purist :D
I'm guessing that would be what you'd mean by remakes (as opposed to just bootleg remixes?) -

I suppose you could say this was a remake of Pete Shelley - Witness The Change: https://discogs.descargarpelis.net/release/230310-Sined-Roza-I-Dont-Know-What-It-Is (was a massive tune in Scotland) -

Good is subjective
Innit! Let's avoid anything by KWS - they were shit. That's not subjective. It's a fact! -

Not bad. I don't find it offensive. Bass guitar House lol :)
Al-Naafiysh (The Soul) ... Sacrilege!! The less said from me the better. Apologies for my elitism :P
