You could try EIing before putting up for removal, that might stem the tide a bit quicker.

I wonder if these things have just randomly attached themselves to discogs or someone is causing this as a deliberate malicious act. It's a waste of time either way.

Right. I've rattled through the first batch. Once I've made myself a good, strong cup of coffee I'll try EIing the subs before putting them up for removal.

There only appears to be one spammer left at the moment. I'm beginning to wonder how quickly the votes percolate through the system to put the onto the CIP. This must have 20 or more EI votes now but the subs keep coming - it may have been a good idea but it doesn't seem to work the way I had hoped.

We really need a panic button, which byes the normal request queue, for situations like this...

I can see, that one of these spam subs is stiill hanging in the removal queue, but nothing happens when you press it (probably so filled with crap, it times out).

I think that's actually due to my finger not being fast enough. I put that up for removal in the middle of a removal spree, mere milliseconds after it was removed.
It's basically a draft up for removal.

I believe staff is deleting them completely.

Strangley I have been spammed on and off for years by Youtube who keeps subscribing to me over and over again. I checked out their liked videos and there's a ton of similar Korean spam there too.

I fear we are dealing with humans or bots with access to multiple URLs (or whatever they're called). One gets banned and within half an hour a new is up and running. How this spamming is supposed to reach the target audience I'm not sure - perhaps its purpose is simply to be on the front page of Discogs? If so, would changing the design of the front page (by not featuring the latest submissions) limit its appeal to spammers?

Yeh we have been talking about solutions to this. We are gonna try a quick fix soon (just been talking to dev about that) , and are looking at more scalable longer solutions as well.

It is amazing that the Discogs community acts so fast in removing this spam, and such dedicated staff ( THE_E.TremontStevieB was up till 1am banning spammers last night). Many thanks to all!
