ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME WITH NOVA?! What a phenomenal track. woulda been helpful to have this gem when helping a friend assemble his "NOVA" zine. Albeit, that's "Nova" from the blockbuster American Pie. Interesting enough, that movie was released 1 year after this album. Coincidence? I think not. I am sure "Nova" pulled his smooth confidence for the role from this savvy track.

Why is the track sequence/order on vinyl different to the CD and Spotify order? Fantastic album and record sounds good but Nova as the last track fits so much better to calm one down after all of those powerful and relentless drums

Yes, this really is a grand experiment in future jazz/d-n-b tricknology. Its drum-n-bass moments are like drums on speed yet with that very special artistic touch. Its future jazz moments are just as relaxing and invigorating as jazz was always meant to be. Amon Tobin is a pioneer in drum-n-bass experimentation and shows off his innovator status brilliantly on this album. At the time of this release drum-n-bass was really in a funk and Amon showed us all there was and always is hope. My personal favorite and a cornerstone track in my entire techno oriented arsenal is Nightlife. The horn samples are unforgettable once they burn their place in your brain forever. Play it, play it often!

Dark, quirky, menacing, funky and wicked are some of the words you could use to describe this album, but the best thing to do is buy it, Mr Tobin is really in a class of his own.
