Edited one year agoHere’s actual information on the pressing’s sound quality lo
MASTERDISK records don’t disappoint, this album was recorded very very well, and it really shows. Sounds just like Gaucho ( of dynamics,ok) if not better. The soundstage is so wide for how thin this vinyl is. Deep and punchy drums that hit you just right. The bass is deep, my subwoofer loves this thing. Vocals and keyboard are so bright and clear, I can’t get enough!
Sounds absolutely fantastic
Most copies of this will sound great but there’s no Denying that a MASTERDISK copy will be one of the best to offer. -
This record is a vibe. I character unto itself. I love the concept coming from a 14 year old Fagen lonely dreaming in his bedroom writing these songs. Been there.

Yes I have been searching for a nice clean nm copy for a long time here in 🇦🇺 ...
I found a nm dead quiet flat ORG Robert Ludwig Master disc copy on Ebay.
$40 delived they are still out there, how good is this legendary pressing?
Just glorious ✨️ 🦻 the music appears from dead wax soundstage wise it is just glorious 👌 -
So after listening to this album 3 times in the last 2 days after discovering it, I headed on business out to Atlanta, where I promptly found an original 1982 copy for sale for the measly sum of only $15, in pristine condition and with the original inner. Needless to say, I immediately purchased what has rapidly become one of my top ten albums in an extremely short time. There’s something that just speaks to my soul about the music Fagan has produced here, like it was made for my bachelor pad, a midnight masterpiece for after sex cigarettes and showers.
Each song on the album only gets consistently and consecutively better nearly until the end, where all the songs are just absolutely pure stunners from beginning to end… not that all of the songs on the piece aren’t already bangers. So anyway! This is definitely one of my favorites if you can’t tell.
Everything from the moody and mysterious album art to the soft grooves for late night drives and lovers makes this perfect for me and my lifestyle. If you don’t like it, you just aren’t cool enough. That’s all there is to it.
It’s hard to pick a favorite track from this extremely underrated and incredible work, so I picked two. I couldn’t help myself. The personal nature of Fagans keyboard and vocals just speak to me like an old friend ive never met. Pick up a copy if you know what’s what. This has been Seifer Records hitting you up from WKSF, 101.7 Smooth Jazz!
