Musically this album is varied, gripping and really pulls you in. Underrated amongst all of Chris Cornell's accomplishments IMO. The pressing just further brings the music to life. Dynamic, balanced and with a relatively low noise floor. For any Cornell fans this can easily be considered an essential addition to your collection.

I would just like to say that this pressing sounds amazing, whereis the original cd right when it came out to my ears was very fatiguing and I just thought the release in itself was missing warmth. Once I heard this from an analog source, despite the master, was rich, rewarding, complex and truly showed the proficiency, skill, ability, and the catharsis this world class musician, Chris Cornell gives, unpretentiously, I might add: Humble like Joe Strummer, but a different vein, no deconstruction, or humor. To the point. Would not have appreciated the outstanding musicianship of this work, record without it being on this pressing, on this source. Strange. I know. As a listener can say take a Dire Straits album that was mostly and purely digital as a master, and that master translates perfectly to another digital source. That's not to say MOFI didn't expand on Dire Straits 1st release on a record, nor was it purely digital. But I'm generally comparing their catalog . What I'm saying is that nothing put out digitally was fatiguing, whereas, the original Higher Truth is digital. And in summary, fatiguing on CD. This pressing is amazing. Opens up the warmth of all instruments, composition, and intentions of what the music is supposed to sound like. While you may lose a complete crispness of some highs, the gains in overall ambient presence is completely outstanding. If you like this recording, have it on CD, don't have this ... buy this now. Or run to your local record store if they have it. You're gonna be so happy you did. Stellar pressing. Completely changed my perception of Cornell's last solo work/release can't say this enough !!!

This album has grown on me over repeated listens. No my favourite thing that Cornell has ever put out nor even my favourite solo album that he released. However, this is a special album. It has a beauty to it. Simple, wise. Unique. The instrumentation and arrangements sound really full and pretty on vinyl. Unique guitar and tuining. It's mature. Reflective lyrics. Maybe lacking a bit of edge but it has a shrewdness that comes with age. Regardless, the instrumentation sounds beautiful on vinyl, as does that voice. Sad that it will be the last record.
