This sounds incredible. I’m blown away by the bass and the vocals. This is what every pressing should aim to be like. My copy does have a few clicks on bdkmv and poetic justice but it takes nothing away from this masterpiece.

IDK about this being European. I bought it at my Walmart in Kentucky for $18 and the runouts match variant 12.

Kendrick Lamars’s best work. Great in story telling and also in great songs. I wish the songs were put into chronological order, for a more complete experience, but just overall its incredible. Perfect of explaining the past and immersing you into this time period in this area.

I have some issues on song “Don’t kill my vibe” in the 1st act. Some kind of crackle, is it normal? In general, sounds perfectly.

Finally looked to see where this is pressed - GZ Media, no surprise there, same thing that did my copy of Radiohead's Amnesiac, one of the best in my collection. Oh yeah can't wait for Mr. Morale to hit vinyl as well, long therapy sessions in wait. Long........sessions. -
I thought for many years that after the 90s, real good hip hop and rap were dead, then I discovered this album and also Kendrick's other album (D.A.M.N.) and my hope got restored. Killer LP, this guy is a pure talent and Im happy that there is still someone doing real rap music out there nowadays. Maximum respect. -
I have one with a USA-printed sleeve—and that says "Made In Canada" on the shrink wrap only—but the records inside were pressed in the Czech Republic (variant 8—according to the matrix numbers) and the labels say Czech Republic also. I am guessing that, at this point, the label probably recalled most of the 2012 US version that was manufactured at United Record Presssing, kept the sleeves and replaced the records inside with ones pressed in the Czech Republic.
For what its worth, the pressing quality of the vinyl (made at GZ in the Czech Republic) is excellent. No skips, clean—lacking the surface noise that would be present on a poorly pressed copy—and sibilance is a non-issue. This is a hip hop album pressed correctly to my ears (I returned a 4xLP copy of "Wu Tang Forever" without hesitation due to excessive sibilance—aka "S" distortion—look it up!)
I guess there is no way of knowing your copy has the GZ manufactured records inside without opening it up. If you get yours on Amazon, you could at least send it back it they give you one that has the vinyl manufactured in the USA (look for the Ⓤ symbol in the deadwax—that's United Record Pressing in Nashville, TN).
THE IRONY of GZ pressings being more coveted than URP pressings in the 2010s I sincerely hope is not lost on anyone who was involved in vinyl distribution over a decade ago (I think you just have to be careful with any URP pressed releases in dark years between Jack White discovering "Record Store Day" and opening up his own pressing plant in Detroit in 2016. URP was so over capacity between 2012-2016 that they had to open a new plant)
