There's a bootleg release made by Liquid Sky from 1993
    https://discogs.descargarpelis.net/master/176252-Liquid-Sky-House-Nation

They gave it a trancy twist. I'm more into it, but it doesn't take away the original's classic status.

This is definitely not the original version of this song. This version was stolen and release by Farley JMF AKA The Rude Boy and it sounds like trash compared to the original version.

The original was produced by Nick "Non-stop" Nicholson and Kevin Jones on Trax Records but the version that was really sought after was the four track mix by DJ's in Chicago which wasn't released until recent years in limited quantity.

Already a big crossover to the pop chart hit in England as early as early 1987.

This ep, a classic anthem of this genre which I used 2 copies to work all version in a mix was defenetly one that stood out amongst all those other chicago track at that time when I started playing "House Music" at this legendary Montreal Gay club called "Le Garage" in 1986-87.

It became an anthem especially in the way the lyrics calls for "house nation" inspiring the crowd being exposed to this new form of dance music, but also, was transported later on when the "house nation" as a crowd broke bigger, including ravers and clubbers, singing and identifying themselves being part of this HOUSE NATION.
A truly great innovative and special record.

No doubt this is one of the best and biggest tracks ever to come out of Chitown! I when it was played in the "Vogue" club in Frankfurt right after it came out and then stayed for years. It was followed by several remixes and remakes each causing the original being played again...House used to be hypnotic, dark, rough and a bit dirty in those days aiming directly to people´s bellys (and below) without using x-rated lyrics.
Strange that this masterpiece has a rating of only 4.6 here while many of the later released booty tracks on this label get better ratings easily...

definitv the strongest track for the dance-floor. when i hear it first at the FRONT club in hamburg 1987 the people can´t stand still. nobody standing in the edge, everbody "take a march" and a step in another time! forward in a march and stepp direction for liberty for erverone! a simply bass, a word-stakato and a very hard and clear drum in a militäry-stile. after this track was published, a lot of people dress in a militäry-house-stile. the hou-hou-hou-hou-hou-housenation will forget this time.......and with this "forgetness", the liberty will go too.....
