Each side of this double LP has a different vibe to it, and the music is an interesting mix of funk, rock, prog, and jazz. It meanders a bit at times, but for those who like their funk on the adventurous side, this is easily recommended. This pressing sounds pretty good, with ample low end, the horns have plenty of oomph, and the soundstage is lush yet uncluttered. My copy plays with light surface noise at times, and there's a scratch on side two that causes a couple of skips on "House Of Wood".

All of side A plays like one long killer jam. The whole album is a deep funk journey experience. Grab it if you see it.
