With no reference to compare this reissue is still quite good on its own.
We have some good low end fill with nice bass, although not as tight or clear as Id want it a lot of times.
I suspect an EQ lean, probably done to also reduce the harshness of vocals in particular. Strangely they just seem badly recorded unlike the other instruments. Very raspy and dry indeed. Reminds me of The Fox - For Fox Sake, also recorded in the UK the year after, hmm.
The imaging is good and dynamics present. The separation might be improved somewhat but its still quite nice.
Advantages this likely has over originals though would be less sibilance as I can spot Miles de esser working on a few spots.
The vinyl too is quiet and void of any crackles or distortion it seems.
Very worthy reissue to have Id say, play it loud and enjoy.

      Equipment Used:
Rega RP1 with Nagaoka MP-200 Cartridge
      Cyrus 2 Amplifier
      System Fidelity SF-3050 Tower Speakers
      Custom made HQ Speaker Cables
