Edited 17 years agoThe Immortal is a spectacular tune. I love the sample, whatever it is. The drum arrangements are done really well and fit together with the sampling and bass rinsing. There are some lyrics in there, but they're kinda faint and I wish I could hear them better. My only other gripe is that it's not an easy track to mix with since the intro is very long.
I honestly don't like this version of Living Daylights as much as the original. I mean, it's not a bad tune, just seems like Fresh took a step back here. He stays on the lyrics too long and it just doesn't sound right how it's all put together. I sometimes like to start with the original, fade into this one and then fade back to screw with anyone who knows the tune. It's mostly the same composition so it's easy to do it seamlessly.
