Edited one year agoI didn't listen to this one in a while. After seeing all the negatives I decided to give it another listen and mine sounds alright. The bass is very heavy but doesn't drown out anything.

I think whoever cut the lacquer probably did the best they could with this, but man, what a brutal master. Bears all the worst hallmarks of the loudness wars. Save your money and get a German OG - they're still (somewhat) reasonably priced, and sound markedly better.
-
Well I don’t own a 1993 lp version of this, so no comparison, but apart from somewhat sibilance this isn’t such bad sounding. Definitely no overpowering bass!
-
If you do that as a re-issue double vinyl it's too be gatefold as well as the 'Murder Was The Case (OST). They got it done once with 'The Doggfather'.. Would be too much if that all could match..
-
Classic average reissue of a classic LP. Brings nothing new to the table. Double LP without a gatefold makes it feel lazy and cheap. Bats an average but gets applause because it's the only member that showed up to play. Poor.
-
One of the most classic albums ever but, yeah, it's not a good press unfortunately. The sound of Dre's snares and cymbals are a hallmark of his production, and here the cymbals are turned up way too high into mushy sibilance and the snares aren't front and center like they were on the original. Too bad, but still great music.

My Disc 2 side 1 has a strange spiral in the grooves, listen to it and it played the song with no issue what so ever. So it was very concerning to me at first. Anyone have that on their disc? It was on the track Ain't no fun.

This versions sounds like chewing tinfoil while running my nails down a chalkboard while my ex girlfriend gives me paper cuts between my toes. Not present at all
-
A digital remaster but it sounds okay! Clean flat pressing. Detailed sound but a little heavy on the compression and that sucks some of the life out of the tracks. Early pressings capture a much fuller, warmer and rich sound. Very listenable and a good price for want you get.

I'll agree with most of the comments on here, it does sound like they did a major bass boost to album. Take that as you will, people seem to love it or hate it. Me personally, I think its a little overkill but if you find yourself in a spot where this is a good price, I would grab it.
