Annihilating Rhythm ist without doubt one of the greatest hardcore rave tracks ever recorded. The menacing hardcore beats, the cleverly faked live atmosphere of of course the legendary MCing with one-liners that became instant rave memes. The whole journey the track takes is just brilliant, starting of on the hardcore breakbeats, moving on into the uplifting piano part and going full bonkers on the hoover hardcore for the finale. The amount of ideas thrown together here in just over seven minutes is mindblowing for a hardcore track. As a matter of fact, there are enough ideas in here for Scooter to build their whole career around ripping off this track (the now infamous non sequitur line "hyper hyper!" also premiered here and shot Scooter to stardom about a year later).

As much as I love this track, I also hate in a way it for creating that abomination called Scooter that just won't go away, even after more than 25 years.

'Annihilating Rhythm' was played on Wittenbergplatz as the last track (before the police pulled the plug) at the 1994 Loveparade in Berlin, when for the first time more than 100000 ravers gathered on Ku'Damm and wrote history. Also later that year Scooter kicked off their career with 'Hyper Hyper' which is a kind of a total rip-off from this Ultra-Sonic track. Peace Love and Unity! those were the days! ;)
