Makes you appreciate the Beatles all over again; the bursting creativity, the innovative musical ideas, the musical depth. Outstanding recording and pressing.

Great record, after I got the record and gave it a couple of play throughs I compared it to my (2018 US MMT) and my (76' japan 67-70 blue album, it has 7 songs from MMT). Overall the 77' German MMT was the best, but the 76' Japan was a close 2nd. The 76' Japan has more Sub-Bass just the right amount to give more Bass fullness to most of the songs, although its too much on Penny Lane and makes that song sound bloated on the Japan, the 77' German has just the right amount of Bass for Penny L. The japan and the German have a wonderful Top-End/Treble this is what's missing on the US 2018 (and probably all 2009 source versions), the 2018 rolls of the treble and looses the details (probably due to compression/limiting on US 2018) also the Mid-Bass on the US 2018 sound a little Boosted to add punch but gets muddy at times. The 77' German has the best Mids this makes the vocals really stand out, I have noticed on the older mixes the backup vocals and instruments are at the same level as the main vocals (which I prefer) and the newer mixes they are lower in volume, the better Mids on the 77' German work with the older mix better. The 77' German has the best version of (I Am The Walrus) just perfect sound. So the Japan comes close to the German Mids and has as good top end and a little better sub-Bass than the 77' German, The sound stage on Japan/German are better/wider than the US 2018.

I also think that (Baby You're A Rich Man) sounds good on the German/Japan but the best version is on (99' Yellow Submarine Songtrack) seriously if you don't have this album buy it now for $30 it is the best mix you can get, Peter Cobbin should have mixed MMT to sound as good. So I would Highly Recommend this 77' German in NM condition, if sonics/sound is what you want this is the best but if you can get the 76' Japan and the 99' Yellow Submarine Songtrack on the Cheap I don't think you would notice much of a difference in regular listening. Giving a little pity to my US 2018 it sounds OK it only falls behind in comparison.

Some of these links in the notes really should be removed, like the one to the unmarked DMM "+C" cut from around '83 & same with the link to the cassette, as neither one really pertain to this particular release.. Just sayin'!

Amazing pressing. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Especially the A-Side, Hello Goodbye and Baby You’re a Rich Man are astounding. One of the best pressings (the initial Hör Zu one up until the last repress) of MMT.

Mind-blowing clarity and sound quality. This is the definitive version. Beautiful dead-quiet German vinyl as well! Wow!!!

These German A-1/B-3 pressings are phenomenal. Dynamic, clear, excellent separation, and true stereo all the way through! I don't expect I'll ever hear a better stereo version (though I've heard good things about the +C/+C German pressings).

If you're on the fence about getting one, go for it. The hype is justified (there are several editions from this mastering; as long as the B side runout ends in B-3, you're good to go).
