With "Biters in the city" the Fantasy 3 were aiming for the Crash Crew. I've got to say that I'm a big fan of both crews and all the here mentioned records. Nonetheless if you compare Fantasy Three - It's Your Rock you can't deny the striking resemblance of both melodies.

An early example of 1/32 hi hat rolls that became popular in trap much later.

Early electro/rap pioneers Charlie Rock, Larry B & Silver Fox turn out a solid jam, memorable, melodic & catchy, although not quite as genre defining as 'It's Your Rock' https://discogs.descargarpelis.net/Fantasy-Three-Its-Your-Rock/master/63182 . However, flip to the Instrumental version for a Pumpkin/Aldo Marin collaboration for a stripped down, funky drum machine workout that just stinks of analog machinery; vocoder, dub work & phased electro percussion, made holy by Marin's trademark dubwork, and Pumpkin's legendary drum programming... One for the heads, and one for the collection- scarcely see this one up for sale off the pages of Discogs, so do not sleep. Awesome.
