Typical early 80's "cold wave" music. There were hundreds like this with exactly the same sound, same singing, same approach. Weak sense for the sonic timbres, average mixing, yet acceptable singing. The "compositions" are good enough but all is much like a very early Soft Cell demo. The stars of this genre are obvious: Yazoo, Soft Cell, early Depeche Mode, maybe some Human League stuff from the period. Oppenheimer is rather an underground thing beside them.

Wow, amazing! It's almost unbelievable this music was made in the beginning '80's, having so much elements and sounds used later on into '90's & '00's electronic, techno & trance music productions. This definitely must have been something underground & science fiction back then. Accidentally discovered oppenheimer analysis around 2009, still today i'm amazed with these guys performed back in 1982.Those punchy basslines, sweet synths, subtle beats and analog sounds are candy for the ears of electronic music lovers. With the nice '80's sounding vocals & lyrics, this music could have been taken from a '80's sci-fi movie. Very interesting for me as an electronic music lover is to understand and discover how it al began, this album is definitely an example of todays electronic music. I'm glad this album is re-released today. Simply great! Best tracks in my opinion are: the devil's dancers, cold war, subterranean desire, and men in white coats.
