I've recently bought this fantastic album and found out the composition Maya surprisingly resembles Moilike from B So glObal album, released in 1993, which I had also used to like a lot until now.
At first I thought japanese version was secondary but after having looked at fifteen-year difference I realised that was impossible. Japanese version called Maya had been composed 15 years before Moilike!
Though credits on B So glObal cd say all the compositions belong to Jon Seagrott and Ian Staples. How can it be explained?
Published similar comment on Seagrott's youtube page and got explanations that these two tunes have nothing in common, that they are performed in different progressions, etc.
Nevertheless I am sure it's the same melody since I every next sound in Moilike due to numerous listenings for the last 25 years. Moilike is a great composition though but I don't know how to explain such a coincidence.
