I had this in my MoFi OneStep list to grab one day. I decided to go for this IMPEX given all positive comments on the label and this record in particular. Can't compare between those versions yet a great sounding album to my ears versus any other audiophile edition I own. And the music well... jazz at it's best! -
just gorgeous. flat, silent record, w/ beautiful full soundstage, perfectly defined and mastered. -
Very nice sounding. I would suspect this to be just as good or better than the One Step MFSL considering Kevin Grays presence here. I just prefer his true to life mastering style.
Every performance is easily appreciable and realistic. Can it be done any better?
Pressing wise its not as perfect for my copy however. The surface noise is quiet, and theres barely any crackles even between tracks. But there seems to be some non fill on the side intro tracks and at least one other person has reported similar problems. I hope this is just very unlucky coincidence and that most get problem free copies to not sully this great player.
