Amazing, amazing release. Vatican Shadow's Fernow brings a whole lot of precision and raw talent to the table with this release. This guy's really prolific -- compilations are the most I can keep up with -- so it's refreshing that this 3xLP is so amazing, all the way through, even though the material spans three different cassette releases. 'Jordanian Descent' is a stunner. Both sides are really excellent and acclimatize you to the world of Vatican Shadow. Ghosts of Chechyna is more album-oriented, so expect shorter tracks with more rapid transformations and surprises; "The Hamburg Cell Was Born In Chechnya" is a standout, but I also like "He Held The Victims Responsible" and "Snipers As A Breed Tend To Be Superstitious" and basically every other track as well. 'Atta's Apartment Slated For Demolition' is the most emotive of the three, so expect a slew of beautiful melodies jammed into the machine. Overall, this is a release worth your time and money, don't miss out! -
