Compared to an original early copy (New York or blue/white Liberty label) this sounds like there´s a thick curtain infront
of your speakers. What the hell does that compression mean ?
Ruins the legacy of Mr. Van Gelder.
The music is one of the best ever recorded. An incredible masterpiece.
The band breathes like only the very best very able (Davis Quintets, Coltrane 4tet, Ayler Trio, Air, Spontaneous Music
Ensemble) to do.
Compositions top notch, everyone at the absolute height of his powers,
No stars but galaxies.
