Nice and clean pressing, despite most of these songs being demos, they still sound great. THANK YOU WARP for bringing us an extra Broadcast release!

Beautiful record(s). As they are just demos they sound so personal and raw, nonetheless they are recorded beautifully and reproduced excellently with lovely clean sound.

Fantastic comp. It's a shame the credits/thanks doesn't mention Keith Jenkins though. After all, he did release their first 7 inch Dx

Agree with the positive folks have shared below, except my copy has some irritating non-fill on a couple tracks (I double-checked that it wasn't from the recordings). Will see about an exchange. Other than that, I'm glad these were finally released.

The artistry is top notch, even in this lo-fi form that I can't help feeling curious and sad about what the proper final album would've sounded like if Trish was still with us. RiP.

So many lovely songs here. I've been coming back to Hip Bone to Hip Bone a lot. My record sounds great, nothing bad to say about the pressing, and I like the inner sleeve designs - although I agree a booklet would have been nice. Like ZebraZub said, if you like Broadcast this is a no brainer. Makes me really excited for Distant Call!

Absolutely breathtaking. The proper sendoff that Trish deserves. Keep in mind that this is a bit biased coming from someone who damn near deifies Trish Keenan, but each of these songs feels like a little gift and I have literally nothing but the sincerest of appreciation for each and every one of them. Though I am a little bit miffed that Warp couldn't step their pussy up a little bit for such a special release. And don't get me wrong; my record is completely flat, beautifully mastered, sounds amazing and has no audio flaws at all, but this is also an album that fans have been waiting 13 years for and an album that serves as the professional capstone of a person that many would consider one of the most gifted songwriters of our time... and Warp couldn't manage some 180 gram vinyl?? Maybe some colored vinyl? A poster? A booklet? Anti-static inner sleeves? A gatefold sleeve? I will say that the printed inner sleeves are quite beautiful but all in all it's just two records stuffed into a flimsy little jacket. I hate to winge but a deluxe edition would be lovely to have one day in the future. It's a great comp and truly deserves it. But for now - I'm just extremely grateful for this deeply touching record and would say it's definitely a no-brainer for any Broadcast fan or really even just fans of contemporary or left-field folk. Thank you James. You really came through 🙏

My copy arrived today. Cover split already as 2LPs in thick inners are too much for a single cover so keep seperate. On first listen the vinyl is flat and silent.
As regards the music, if you're a Broadcast fan it's a no brainer. Just bear in mind they are demos, so they vary in quality. That said, there is a magical fragile quality that is immersive and takes you away to somewhere else. Lovely!
