Edited one month agoOptimal Media serves them well again with this release.
I’m picking up right channel distortion on track B3 “You Know I Have To Go” though. Every now and then there is a rasp of distortion only in the right channel. I’ll need to revisit the digital version to confirm this isn’t intentional but somehow I don’t think it can be.
I haven’t cleaned these yet because so far none of their brand new records have shown as indication that was necessary. Thanks again no doubt to Optimal Media. Wondering if the noise will go away if I clean it. I’ll report back when I get the chance to do that. I’ll also re-test my tonearm with my Ortofon test record to be sure that there is no distortion in the relevant tracking ability tests. There wasn’t the last time and none of their other tracks from this album have demonstrated this issue.
#1201/1500 -
Wonderful record, I agree with all those who have commented positively on the pressing. Probably due to the running time, the order of the tracks has been changed compared to the CD version, which for me has the advantage that there are 3 hammer songs gathered together on side C. And yes, it is a repress, I am the proud owner of no. 2129

But! Must say this Record is one of the best sounding I ever heard! And the bass are insane 😋 -
