This music is absolutely fantastic, but I have to agree with the other reviews. Noisy surfaces throughout, particularly side A with Sundown unfortunately being the worst offender to the point of being overbearing. I’d recommend nonetheless if you want to have a copy for your collection, as I did, but prepare to be disappointed with the pressing quality when listening.

I agree wholeheartedly with magianegra. Pops, clicks volume unsteady from track to track. Regrettable given how great the music is. Will likely play this more at my DJ gigs than in my living room.

As a big Eddie Chacon fan, I must say I'm really sad with the sound quality. A lot of clicks and pops, ups and downs with volume. Sounds a lot better on digital, unfortunatelly. This shouldn't happen on a 35€ record.
-
Yes, clicks during Sundown. Kind of a lot. It's a bummer. The rest of the record sounds pretty darn great. Luv these grooves.

On my copy the whole A-side has low pops and clicks on and off, culminating on the title track which gets really annoying. Constant pops and clicks throughout the title track making it almost impossible to listen to..
-
The first album was a masterpiece of heartbreaking, hard-earned life lessons hidden in beautifully produced minimal lo-fi soul. This follow-up is a logical progression, slightly less insular and featuring a warmer, more expansive sound. Once again a very special and truthful album by Chacon & Kirby, carving out their own musical path.
-
The novelty has worn off a bit. But this is still a very strong album. If you can appreciate subtlety, a kind of groovy minimalism. There’s only a couple of minor songs on this one. It’s besides my comments a no brainier.
