This copy sounds incredible. Even on a non-audiophile system, the difference vs. some more contemporary pressings is immediate. Worth seeking out! It makes a massive difference in enjoyment of this important record.

Edited 2 years agoFound this original pressing locally and although have no other version to compare have to say that it sounds quite good as expected, a sublime recording with very good detail, the overall ambience and depth along with solid low frequencies make this an extremely enjoyable listen.
Needless to say that being released in 1960 on the 6 eye label it is all analog which brings with it a distinctly rich and rewarding experience. Are more recent albums better? I suppose it might be a matter of opinion but regardless this is right up there with its own unique qualities.
