Edited 15 years agoInfo below is incorrect - Immortals did NOT cover this release in 1988 - Yes there was a Re-Re-Re-Re (this record has been Re-released sooo many timez) -Release on Zyx-records in 1988 but also on Ramshorn and many other Thievery-corporations.
The oldest release from the Immortals known to Me (also listed here on Discogs) is the 1979 version on RCA Victor from canada
which makes it also more difficult to answer the question: Who was First?
This story also becomes more complicated if You keep in mind that there is also a thirt (!) release by Little Casper & the Mx's released in the same period (and also in canada) :-)

Edited 15 years agoThis was covered by The Immortals in 1988. This one sounds like it's recorded in a phone booth and pressed on cardboard.
