    Majority of the songs featured on this compilation comes from albums issued in the early 1980s. Only 17 songs were issued on singles. This compilation was included in the 9-CD compilation ‘The Ultimate Trojan Roots Box Set’, released exclusively for HMV in 2003. In 2009, Trojan included 40 of the 50 songs on the compilation ‘The Trojan Dancehall Collection’. If I omit those two releases, as of Spring 2019, 14 songs remains exclusive digitally to this compilation. Trojan did a fairly good job at not making too many duplicates with this package: 23 songs remains exclusive in the Trojan catalogue. On CD2, several songs were labeled with the riddim’s name ‘Shank I Sheck’, as this is how those songs were presented on TAD’s 1982 compilation ‘Shank I Sheck Vol.1’. Lower you will find what seems to be the real titles of these songs (information coming from different sources on the Internet).
