My copy is flat, centered, and quiet. With increased power, it went from sounding a bit "dense" to highly dynamic. Very large, balanced, warm, and detailed soundstage. Super enjoyable play copy that delivers sonically.

Edited 6 months agoJust bought it with a dose of caution, cause I've never had and experience with the Music on vinyl vinyls. But, I'm very, very nicely surprised. Before buying read a lot of reviews, mostly good. And they turned right. No single click ! Very warm and clear sound from my Audio-technica VMN40ML. Though, the vinyl does have very, very silent hum....miniature that doesn't point the dagger in the ear. I recommend it very, very much. And, yes, the gatefold cover is very, very nice; shining, clear. The only thing I con is - as in 99 percent cases - record placed into a paper sleeve, not the antistatic nylon. Why they don't do that anymore ????? But in this very case didn't harm the vinyl.

Sur la matrice de mon édition est gravé 010414946-A-1 & 010414946-B-1.
Alors c'est peut-être le vinyle neuf le moins cher que je possède pour l'instant (15€), mais du coup je comprends pourquoi : quelle déception coté son !
Le niveau sonore de sortie est ridiculement faible, au point d'avoir aussitôt le réflexe de vérifier qu'il n'y ait pas de mauvais branchements de ma platine que j'avais installée depuis peu !
Coté dynamique, ça peut aller, mais ça casse pas des briques.
Pas de miracle sur la basse en intro de Woman in Chains, elle n'est pas aussi charnue que dans mes souvenirs sur le pressage qu'avait mon père, à l'époque.
Mais le plus décevant et surprenant, c'est le souffle / les parasites importants entre les titres. C'est limite si j'ai pas eu l'impression d'écouter une K7 enregistrée à la va-vite sur une boombox 1er prix... Ahurissant !
Et bien que neuf, nettoyé avant lecture à la peau de chamois, puis brosses en velours et antistatique, plein de " friture", et même un skip sur Advice for the Young at Heart, alors que visuellement la surface est aussi lisse et brillante qu'un miroir.
Je cherche par conséquent un autre pressage, peut-être pas l'original, mais là, les prix sont bien plus élevés que cette copie brouillonne. Forcément ! -
Apparently there's a new cut/pressing in my runout 010414946-A-1 & 010414946-B-1 and it sounds terrible. Gatefold is the same as described here.
I never thought that the album could sound so bad and flat and it was cut at a very low level.
I actually thought I'd get this version here, where the reviews are consistently good. -
Can anyone shed a light on how this pressing sonically compares to the original UK vinyl pressing? -
I returned the 1st copy I got as it was not very flat and had a scratch and other smudge type abrasions on it (it was brand new copy). I just got the replacement copy and had no surface flaws but still wavy warped. Plays pretty good, however side 2 is much more dynamic than 1, which is unfortunate as side 1 had my favorite songs on the album. Side one has base, but lacks dynamic sound. I still feel it's worth having this copy as it doesn't look like there is anything better out there for a vinyl version of this album.
