I’ve got variant 4 of this pressing. I wonder what the sound difference is between pressings that have the TG and ARC in the deadwax vs those with just TG, without the ARC? I’ve read comments from those that own the ARC version and they claim the highs are to brittle, cymbals sizzle too much. I can’t say I find my copy brittle or bright in a harsh way. Some sibilance though. I really love the 2014 reissue, that press sounds awesome. This one does too, lots of bass. I compared it to the popular Barry Diament US CD pressing and I found the CD is very close to the Canadian red LP, but presentation is a tad darker, more midrange, whereas the red LP is brighter but the highs aren’t harsh.

I love this pressing. Mine is only a VG at worst, but the depth is much greater than my later reissue.

Found one of these recently from a Canadian seller on Ebay. It's only VG+ but it's the best one I've come across so far. As the commenter says below, they do seem to be hard to find in EX or better condition. Amazing pressing of one of my top 10 all time LPs and my favorite LZ disc. Absolutely blows away the US copies I have heard.

Excellent pressing. Powerful, tight bass and sibilance free highs. They are hard to find in good condition, but worth the search. An immersive listening experience

Compared to the hi res cd and new vinyl of this album...well..there is none. Balanced..non bloated bass guitar...BASS guitar (which seems to be pushed back on many of the remasters. Want to hear what Led Zeppelin is supposed to sound like...well just listen to this version. I am lucky to have a VG++ version of this album. Space power and performance to bring you into the experience. Something the remasters cant seem to do as easily. The only non vinyl comparison I can make it with the early non remastered cds that came out. Which are also great compared to the new remasters. Of coarse this is my opinion.
