I liked that track right from the start. I it came out in the winter of 1993 and was (in my opinion) a good compromise between House and Hip Hop, without being Hip House.
I disliked the 'clean' mixes which made the track 'too conventional'. The only one that I liked was the 'Bleep Mix' (not available on the commercial release) which made an extensive use of the legendary Macintosh sounds (such as 'sosumi' - an extremely short sample of a xylophone, which gained notoriety in computer folklore as a cheeky response to a long-running Apple Corps v. Apple Computer trademark conflict - 'Droplet', 'Indigo', 'Wild Eep', 'Monkey' and 'Quack').
The 'F** 'a' Pella' is actually a re-recording of the original 'Raw Mix' vocals, and misses the verse about 'the good shows on TV' (referring to Whoppi (Goldberg) and Jay Leno).
