Not a jazz guy, don’t have another pressing to compare, but this sounds excellent. Silent, nice jacket.

Killer performance. Beautiful recording. Dynamite mastering and pressing. What more can you ask? On some days, this is my favorite Bill Evans record. On every other day, it’s at least in the top three. It just has so much energy—Eddie Gomez and Jack DeJohnette both play with fiery insistence, and Bill Evans is Bill Evans.
There are less expensive pressings out there, but this one is worth every extra penny. -
I gotta hand it to technical department of Radio Suisse Romande for capturing this magical gig, Bernie for creating a great master/pressing 50 years later (or whenever)! and Analog Productions & QRP for a great press/packaging - BRAVO!

Edited 2 years agoBought this new recently at €65. Side A was good, quiet. Side B loud pops, one at the beginning (which is supposed to be there, but not that sharp) and one towards the end of "The touch of your lips", and a few more minor pops and clicks on other tracks. Returned it.
Now waiting for NM Japanese pressing to be delivered. -
Another great Analogue Productions reissue. Beautiful pressing, silent vinyl and sounds like you’re there.

Agree with everyone else here: This one sounds fantastic! What really shines here amongst everything is that Bass Eddie Gomez uses. I don't think I've ever heard a Bass shine as much as it does on this master here. It really is incredible just how clear it sounds--and on a LIVE recording too? Pretty darn impressive.
All that said, the piano and drums sound incredibly clear too. Just thought I'd share my thoughts on what I believe is the main highlight of this pressing.
If you're an Evans fan (and you don't have this or the 45 rpm version yet) I would highly suggest picking this up when you can. I'm certain this won't be in stock long--Bill Evans AP releases usually don't last. At $40-50 for this one, you're really getting a fantastic gem here -
As others have noted, this is an excellent recording and pressing, I am sometimes doubtful of the need for 45rpm issues and was happy to see great reviews on this - not sure if you would get anything additional from it - this is excellent in every way

Phenomenal pressing. The bass is almost too intimate, you can hear each string twang like I’d never heard before. Great set and a pressing that’s definitely worth it.
