This album truly does rock. However, I believe it's "Letter From the County Farm", not "Letter From the Country Farm". Very different meaning.....

Edited 2 years agoI agree with Mike below, this is a truly rockin’ record. Eric goes to Max’s Kansas City and the snotty proto-punk sneer comes across on almost all the tracks. I just grabbed my second copy for 3 dollars and I venture it’s worth ten times that. This should have been a big hit at the same time as Bowie’s Pin-Ups. -
This album is truly mesmerizing. Some fabulous rearrangements, amazing musicianship, deranged but absolutely compelling vocals, brilliantly engineered with plenty of space and separation on a great pressing. One of the lost gems of the 70s, if you find a copy, grab it. It will dominate your turntable

This record kills. Hard, glammy, proto punk rock, with Burdon’s epic, peerless voice on top. For fans of Bowie, Mott, Dolls, Patti Smith, etc. Get it.
