Neither Pete Clifford or Doc Watson were of Scrugg. Clifford left Floribunda Rose and returned to South Africa to the Bats in January, 1968 before the band changed its name to Scrugg. Henry Spinetti was the only person who played drums for Scrugg.

I’ve crunched the numbers and there’s basically no reason for this (or some version of it) not to exist on vinyl. Every time I see that $47 copy of Human Clay by Creed that nobody ever buys at my local, I’ll shed a tear for this.

It would be nice to see a reasonably priced vinyl pressing of this compilation (similar to the orginal Nuggets RSD vinyl reissue)

An outstanding compilation of British "freak-beat" and other goodies that I feel actually improves upon its original Nuggets counterpart. A collection that will likely get you started on an obsessive search for the most unconventional, innovative sounds ever put to wax in the sixties. This collection introduced me to some of my favourite bands: the (Dutch) Outsiders, the Misunderstood, the Creation, the Eyes, Kaleidoscope (UK).. etc. Highly recommended.

Van Morrison is listed as an interpreter of track 2-4 in the labels, he is right is the singer of the title, but the song was released by Them in which Van Morrison lead singer
