unfortunately mine has a couple issues - I can hear a looping wooshing sound in the right channel, particularly on the first 10 minutes of Side A. doesn't bother me much on actual speakers but you definitely notice it on headphones. also a few clicks and pops during "Madrugada Eterna". otherwise fine, just wish mine was as good as y'all were saying :)

For sure a boot based on the track breaks, but in the absence of any official vinyl reissues, what is a guy to do? Sounds fine and I enjoy pitting on vinyl more than streaming or putting on a CD. Its an iconic masterpiece - i wish i could buy a newly remastered fully licensed product, but thems the breaks.

Pretty sure it’s a recording of the CD as you can hear track spaces in a couple of tracks. Sounds great though

Santa just brought me this. A lovely pressing. Great quality sound. Very happy to have this in my collection.

Official? Unofficial? It's probably going to remain a mystery due to the unlicensed samples over all this, so this being official would probably be a hush hush thing from Cauty and crew.
Either way, it's a high quality product, great art printing and sound quality, though I suspect it's cut from the slightly edited US CD, which is not a problem if you're not an analog purist snob.
Pick it up frim your reputable dealer, cause this doesn't seem to be unblocked any time soon here. -
i just wanted to add one more person to the "no way this is bootleg" crowd. i just picked this up (used vg++, said the shop) and it sounds incredible. do not hesitate to go for this "reissue."

Edited 2 years agoIt's pretty on brand for this group to be cagey about the "officialness" of this release. I like to think they'd be having a good laugh at the controversy. That said, if it's a fake, it is a damn convincing one.
Things I would NOT expect if it were a counterfeit:
- Runout etchings
- Nice fade out at end of Side 1 and clean start of Side 2 (no hard cut)
- Great sound quality
All of the above describes this release -

Like everyone else says, it sounds incredible.
Dead quiet. Amazing mix. And I’m a truther on all this “it might not be a bootleg” speculation. -
Grabbed from a midwest USA store, sounds great and my kids are fascinated by it. Only flaw is that the record hole is bit undersized and is chore to remove the record from turntable.
