Notes
Produced, arranged, and executive produced for Centerfield Productions. Recorded at Centerfield Productions, NYC. Mastered at Masterdisk. Published by Promuse, Inc./Pinch Hit Music/BMI.
From the Profile LP "Twin Hype".
©℗ 1989 Profile Records, Inc.
Manufactured and Distributed by Profile Records, Inc.
In the runout matrix no.s on both sides, "MASTERDISK" is stamped, all other characters are hand-etched. Under "MASTERDISK" on side A, there is a hard-to-decipher etched "signature".
Dispite of having (HM) printed on the center labels which would usually indicate Hauppauge Record Manufacturing Ltd. as the pressing plant, this record was actually pressed at Specialty Records Corporation. Hauppauge stopped pressing vinyl records sometime in 1989 and this record was apparently pressed sometime after Hauppauge had stopped pressing records, and actually pressed at Specialty using the leftover center labels already printed with the (HM) code for a Hauppauge pressing.

Edited one year agoI was not a big fan of the Hip House fad at the time which alongside the cheesy rap ballads, were largely scorned upon by hardcore Hip Hop fans often denigrated as album filler tracks. But this is one of the better Hip House tracks alongside KC Flightt 'Planet E', Doug Lazy 'Let It Roll', Jungle Brothers 'Ill House You' & some of the tracks Frankie Bones produced. Its fair to say the Hip House fusion had an influence on late 1980s UK House music which steered a path towards Hardcore House / Breakbeat Rave in the early 90s that eventually spawned Jungle. Some dope cuts by King Shameek on the cut n paste 'Bonus Beats'.

owned this 12 inch when it came out, played it constantly, the scratching by King Shameek was exquisite.

Oh yeah ...this is my definition of dance music ...comprehenda!
Mixes so nicely in with Petra's Just let Go -
Great bassline. This was always coupled with It Takes Two since they're both ~ 115 BPM.
One of the few Hip-House tracks I can not from the Chicago labels (DJ International, Trax). -

Heard this when it came out back in 88/89, no one knew the artist at the time, thought it was King Sun. Finally found out it was Twin Hype, such an excellent track, and great samples! ' The Monkees, Raw Silk, Area code 615, Herman Kelly, Martin circus, public enemy, modern romance, and probably more!!

need this tune!! heard it being mixed up by the wizard (aka jeff mills) on a detoit radio station recorded back in 89. quality hip-hop with an up-tempo beat and vocal
