Really shoddy pressing qualities. First one had non fills and badly warped. Second has only a hint of non fill and is flat enough to be unaffected. Sound is ok, if abit rolled off.
Truly, the first few albums of KATG need proper audiophile reissuing!!
This is not worth a penny more than the £15 asking price -
CD price has shot up ! I when I picked up my CD copy form the shop when it was released they had about 20 copies! - If only I had a crystal ball -
Edited 10 years agoHeavy funk instrumentals (with sparse vocals on their modest-hit single "Love the Life You Live"), lusher than the first studio album, this set is all killer no filler. Even the tracks that slow down the funk, "Stop, Look & Listen"/"Blowin' With The Wind" are played with such conviction they manage to keep your attention. Side note: I've always wondered if the "Electric Frog" inspired Fred Wesley and the J.B.'s "Blow Your Head" as they both begin with a wild synth motif before having drums dropped over them and launching into the full band.
