Agreed with the previous comments, this pressing is excellent for detail and warmth. It carries all the depth and direct musicality of Stevie Wonder.

Very nice pressing. Sound distribution and mix are insane. Cheap reissues do not get this good. Bass is shaking the entire room. Dead silent wax. Totally recommend. -

Picked up a flat copy in great shape from my local record store for $10. Primarily ID’d this pressing by the label… different from the similar 1980 Canadian pressing that indicates year on the label. Any consensus on what year this one is? -

Brilliant sound quality. Cymbals on 'Too High', you can hear EVERYTHING! Incredible album (his best), and incredible sound this pressing. -

As noted by many others, 1st US Kendun editions of this landmark recording are the go-tos, and this pressing is no exception. Full, wide sonics, with deep sub-bass. Essential listening! -

I'm no audiophile BUT this record sounds fine to me. I have an older black pressing as well, and while I don't think it matches up to that one (it's a little bit muddier to my ears), the sound here is fine. If you're looking for a color copy of this album, this will do you well, but don't expect perfection. -
My pressing appears most similar to this one. Sound is very good even though the grooves look stained. Plays very nice with full balanced sound -
This is the third pressing of this album I've owned - previously a NZ pressing and another US pressing - they all use the same stampers and mastering.
For some reason this record just doesn't have very much top end at all, it sounds really boxy and dull a lot of the time. I'm not sure if that's down to the Kendun mastering or its just how the album is supposed to sound. Even on a minty copy I find it can sound really washy and unfocused, something I don't notice on streaming and a CD copy I borrowed.
Obviously the music is amazing but I can't seem to find a good sounding pressing, which is a real shame
