Notes
Redolfi’s debut album, comprised of two works:
' Pacific Tubular Waves', commissioned by GRM and nominated for the 1979 Luigi Russolo Award in Varese, Italy.
'Immersion' (1980), which was the composer's first underwater recording. In April 1979, Redolfi used waterproof equipment to broadcast 'Pacific Tubular Waves' underwater while diving off Windansea and Bird Rock shores in La Jolla, California. He used a hydra-phone to capture a natural re-interpretation of his composition by ocean currents and stones moving on the bottom. Redolfi selected three short movements from this raw field recording, and added four Synclavier parts, conceiving the entire piece as a slow dive from the Surface (Part 1) to the Total Immersion (Part 4).
In 2015, the album was re-released on LP by Recollection GRM series.
