Duran Duran – Pop Trash

This album is different than I expected from Duran Duran and maybe that's why I enjoy it more than I expected. Sound-wise it's okay. The pressing isn't perfect but better by today's standards, once washed out it will want repeats, except for a couple of clicks and pops it plays cleanly, the records aren't completely flat but nothing terrible. Packaging nice including the inner sleeves. Recommended.

Are you sure that this is a "mispress"??? The Silver backed cover is Made in Canada and available here (in Canada), where the White back cover is the Made In EU version. The Canadian copy also has different labels indicating Made In Canada. For this reason. I don't believe this was a mispress, as most vinyl pressings have a EU (mostly Czech) and either Canada or USA issue containing the same cat numbers. From my understanding from a local record shop is, the pressing plant in Canada and Czech are the same company. Czech presses for Europe and strangely those are the copies we get here in Canada, where the Made In Canada copies are for the USA market. Trust me that this has become a collecting pain in the butt!!! If I found out a title has a Made in Canada copy, I usually have to order from Amazon USA and pay import fees. Ironically Medazzaland was an exception to this as all copies were Made in Canada for the world. Very strange these days. Anyways, the point is for THIS release, the silver back cover version (Made In Canada) is what is sold here in Canada. Fun times!

Hidden gem from Duran Duran. Decent pressing. Must say this album grows on you. I am glad I bought it. Comes on.a nice gatefold. Sound is better than the cd. Has enough of separation to make a good listen.

Probably the best sounding of all the recent reissues. I am glad I bought it.

Sounds great, but both discs with warp and with noise crackling. Tried one run ultrasonic cleaning.

Where is that with 1500 copies ? It's not indicated on the cover, is it ?

Nice to see this album finally on vinyl. A wonderful quiet pressing which sounds really good to my ears!
A quality release that is packaged really well. Would have preferred a shiny glossy sleeve like the good old days of vinyl but that's me being picky.

I find most CD's lacking in detail, but I am pleasantly surprised by this one. Might have to find a nice vinyl partner for it

My copy has the bar code 9399603220221 which is no where to be seen in this list. It has the Hollywood label and Festival. I bought it in Australia for the huge sum of $4 at JB Hi Fi!

Pretty sure my copy is a UK one, but it has the same 3 bonus tracks as the Japanese release, but I don't see it listed here.

This album failed because the record company showed no . Just look at the first single "Someone Else, Not Me." This is a beautiful track. Yet, the cd single was released with edit, album version, and album version of "Starting To ." There was no reason to buy the single? They actually had a remix of the song available and at least an acoustic version of "Starting To ," throw on a previous classic like "New Moon on Monday," and the single would have sold. To this day, I wonder what was happening behind the scenes that this was released with no ? I mean, the band even toured the US after the release, but it was too late. BTW, other countries got 3-4 bonus tracks that were never released in the US. They could have released "Someone Else Not Me" with those "Bonus" tracks and made a few sales. Nope.
