The Neville Brothers – Yellow Moon

Although not a huge fan of TNB, I have this in my collection as because it has a rainbow of musical styles that all somehow come together and make sense. Not every track is golden, but songs like A Change is Gonna Come and With God On Our Side will lift you to a place you’ve never experienced before. Others like Sister Rosa and Wake Up raise awareness of life’s struggles. It’s an amazing album everyone should hear at least once before they die.

Just catalogued this. Probably owned since its release. Appears identical in all respects except no promo stamp and no hype on front cover. I can different pics if that would be good.

One of the best sounding records in my collection. The production and mastering is amazing, as are many of the songs on here.

Just got my NM copy on the turntable. It was electrostatically cleaned prior to play. I find it flat, dead quiet and perfect. The sonics are perfect. Deep clear bass. The blacks and deeply black. The treble is crisp and punchy. The soundstage is wide with good instrument separation. Don’t sleep on this one.

This is one of those albums that I guarantee if you play it to someone they’ll love it but somehow apart from those who heard it at the time of it’s release it’s become a lost recording hence it’s low value.
Not that I want to see records costing more money but it’s a sign that not enough people know how good this album is.

My copy of this looks pristine but is riddled with rice crispies in the dead wax and low amplitude ages. Any history of this with others? thanks
