Rod Stewart – Sing It Again Rod

There really should be rules about covering other artists songs, like don't, eh Rod? The best tracks are originals, of which there's few. Mastered from a damaged source that was recorded using some type of dolby NR encoding from the early 70's.

O.k. it it’s now May 2024, 60 years !!! after Rod debuted in showbiz and while the man is still going strong with his worldtour coming to Amsterdam next month.

Unfortunately his music really sucks for the last 40 years already, but all the great music he made from late 60ties up to the early 80ties with The Faces and as a solo artist, his starpower, singing and performing skills makes him an alltime legend.

It is fun collecting Rod Stewart on vinyl from his peak period. There are so many great LP’s and 7 inches available on Discogs and most of them dirt cheap as I quess they aren far more copies on the market than there is a demand for. Grab some copies while you still can and give them a spin. You won’t regret.

I really like this great compilation of his early 70ties solo work (my copy sounds great by the way). It's served in a whiskey glass sleeve for music lovers with the smoothest rock and roll taste. Enjoy!

One of the worst sounding pressings in my collection of the albums I purchased new "back in the day". I know some of it is due to Rod's vocals but the whole thing sounds muffled. Spent more time on the cutesy cocktail cover than on the sound imho.

Just got this, was going to throw it on the living room stereo and go paint the bedroom but I'm still here, a fantastic sounding disc, everything is right up front, Rod's vocals, guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass, drums, and piano, smooth and warm and clear with no distortion, sounds like the band is in the room. This is one of the many discs I recently discovered to be remastered by Dennis Drake. Not sure if they're all this good, but this one rocks!

I have a mix'n'match which I am guessing has happened in a second-hand shop. I have the packaging for this release, but the vinyl from this release.

My copy has the first side of 'Tonight I'm Yours'. The second side has the remainder of Sing It Again Rod.

This is one of the worst sounding pressing I've put my ears on. Incredible poor pressing.
