Great compilation with both CDs being 77 mins plus. Mostly sounds good, but the 12" of Southern Freeez is plainly from an inferior source. A shame as it adds bass and keyboard breaks into the middle. Extends the mood as all good 12" should.
The rest of the tracks complement, but don't reach the heights of the title track.
Really good to have the original singles. Not so keen on the remix Anti-Freeez album. It was plainly done by others who failed to capture the essence of the original album. It sounds more like the next album, which was a very different sound.

If this was made by an American Jazz Funk group, it would be heralded as a classic. A magical album that still is great to listen to even today. They should have stayed with the Jazz Funk music vibe in my opinion, and this album proves why.

my copy is excellent so i don't know what 'Skimmie' is listening to, certainly not this cd that's for sure. also if the lowest selling price is £6:10 & the highest is £104:51, how can the median only be £20:58???

The last three tracks on this release are NOT on the 2CD version. Omitted from this release are the early recordings 'Keep In Touch/Stay/Hot Footing It'. Excellent sound quality just like the 2CD version.

Superb 2CD set which sounds brilliant! I Bought this when it was released and loved it from the off. No idea when the reviewer below was listening to his CD on as mine sounds mega, much better than any other Freeez releases. Lots of very rare tracks, sadly it was only issued as a limited press so prices are now sky high.

There is a difference between the CD version and the itunes version though. The itunes version omits the early recordings ''Keep In Touch/Stay/Hot Footing It'' but contains three tracks not on the CD ''One To One (Original Mix)'' and two tracks by Peter Mass offshoot band ''Side On'' which are both quite similar to the Brit-Funk sound of Freeez. These areworth buying on itunes to complete the recordings from that period (there is also a band Peter Mass was involved with called Multivision 'Work To Live' again well worth finding out).

I Love this Album but again the mastering by John Dent is a disaster !!!! Every time the same problem, no bass, flat sounds without dynamic !!!! Bad job John !!!! Five stars for the Album, zero stars for the mastering !!!!

I don't believe that this album was from the 1980. According to Wikipedia, these album wasn't fron 1980. It was from 1981.

MASSIVE influence on A Certain Ratio! They listened to Flying High then ripped off Freeez’s rhythm section
