I’m not a fan of any of the Restless albums, too much compression, plus bare bones packaging.

beautiful package, though of course all the liner notes are in japanese. compared to an original japanese alfa pressing, bob ludwig certainly cleaned up the midbass and extracted loads of tiny details. the sound is BIG, but the mystery of the original is lost. absolutely dead quiet sony japan vinyl, though.

listening setup: rega p6, ortofon mc cadenza bronze cartridge, stein music 'the perfect interface' carbon mat, liberty b2b-1 preamp, hegel h95 integrated amp, elac debut b5 speakers

I’m absolutely blown away by how good this record sounds.

This sound really beautiful with little noise on side A that can be heard between songs, sounds good very similar to MOV edition of this album.

I reserved and purchased this LP when it was released. Also gave me a poster. It's a family heirloom.

Originally I was an instrumentalist, but under the influence of YMO, I began to listen to vocals as well. However, 'LIGHT IN DARKNESS' is my best YMO tune. Also, listening to how wonderful the content of 'GRADATED GREY', and glimpsing the feelings of Mr. Haruomi Hosono, who wrote the lyrics and music, it is easy to imagine that there were times when he fell into intense conflicts and dilemmas in quiet times.

Unfortunately my copy has the punk rock band - Bad Religion's "New Maps of Hell" Album pressed on Side A. Side B is YMO. Very disappointing...

Technodelic from ymo is the Japanese comparison to what is kraftwerk's die mensch machine album from .. for its raw analogic electronic sound performance added to melodic voices..
Resulting to musical output of a 5 stars Asian genuine and unique electronic experimental sound from the end of 70's beginning of the 80's Era..
Pure bliss.

Can anyone provide me with the 4 page YMO catalogue?

Great pressing. Booklet artwork looks a little bit blurry compared to the original, (I have a 1981 pressing so I can't compare the cover art) but the audio quality is excellent and barely any surface noise is present.
