Paul McCartney & Wings* – One Hand Clapping

My 2¢...Great music, always fun to hear bands perform live in the studio (supposedly) with no overdubs (see also The Rolling Stones Stripped). The songs are the same, with fascinating small differences here and there. And because it's Paul McCartney & Wings, that just raises the interest level to a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. (!).
However, the sound quality is almost uniformly disappointing. I was gonna say 'terrible' but that would not have been accurate. But the sound is muddy, no real high frequencies, and just generally very disappointing, considering most of it was recorded in ** ABBEY ROAD** ! It sure doesn't sound like it. 😖

it's a very good album! I love it! the 7" disc is wonderful, but couldn't they at least have made it a gatefold?

Sounds amazing, so cool to have an official release of this but needed a cleaning first.
Packaging is extremely poor and very flimsy, no gatefold and held in custom tight paper OIS
Only a small booklet like OIS. F- for presentation. A+ for the Music.

The CD version is already sold out (at jpc.de for example) or getting pretty expensive (amazon.de). There's also more and more copies from China on offer. Can we conclude from this that this is a true limited edition?

I doubt this is going to be a limited pressing so why the prices?
I'll wait for the repress or any special coloured vinyl I know mpl will release, specially after the release of the film in theaters. Also because the reviews are mixed. Lots of issues with first pressings.

Obi is stuck onto the outer plastic wrapping (does not wrap around the sleeve like all other obis), and the Japanese booklet is outside of the sleeve, put into an outer bag with the record itself. The actual version here is made in (sticker on the outside), so probably the same as the European version. It is not pressed in Japan. Tacky and cheap way to do it. Plus, this version is 3000 yen more expensive than the import. Records sound good, but that is not the point. Really, really poor presentation.

Overall sounds good and vinyl is silent but there are several problems. Buzzing sound in left channel on Oh My Love starting with the guitar solo The microline stylus doesn't help. Both records are dished. And booklet was crumpled. So the quality control is mediocre despite Made in claim. And I don't like non-gatefolded 2LP album. Maybe it would have been better to buy CD?

Bought mine on UDiscover at normal price about 2 months ago and it finally arrived today.

With so many mixed reviews on this album, I don’t know what to do. Should I buy it or not. Some are saying it’s really good, while others say it sucks. I just don’t know if it’s worth it or not.
