Mark Knopfler is simply, a guitar genius! A musicians’ musician. The way he extenuates notes is instantly recognizable. Easily one of the top 5 guitar players in the world. As expressed in other reviews, the production is exemplary and this pressing is just that. Highly recommended!

Just a great release in every aspect. The music is mature and outstanding after all. I’ve had a several approaches to this album and finally got the point. Now I just enjoy this music with the glass of wine at the evening.
Sound quality is exceptional - the record and the mastering made with care. Pressing quality is ok, just some hiss sounds in the end of A3. Beautiful packaging and the colour of the vinyl. Good work, Mark and the team.

Mr Knopfler is really back on form , songs are really strong , production is first rate , along with mastering by Bob Ludwig.

I had some trepidation when I saw the label ' Made in Czech Republic' like many I've had some poor pressings out of GZ. But no issues on this , even has poly lined inner sleeves 👍😁

The pressing quality of this GZ Media LP is just outstanding. The vinyl is exceptionally clean, with minimal surface noise, allowing the intricate details of the music to shine through. The soundstage is wide and immersive, capturing the nuances of Knopfler's playing and the richness of the accompanying instruments. The mastering is top-notch, preserving the warmth and clarity of the original recordings, making this LP a must-have.

Purchased on Acoustic Sounds the half speed mastered edition (presumably the same pressing as in this set, but without CDs and other extras). Deeply disappointed. The sound quality is really decent, whereas the pressing itself is a total wreck - it gives a huge wave bordering at tonearm jumping off the record. Never seen anything like this with the new records pretending to be audiophile releases.

Ich hatte befürchtet, mich musikalisch zu Tode zu langweilen und wurde sehr angenehm überrascht. Alles zwar sehr relaxt, aber gut zu hören und interessant: bluesig, ein paar Country-Anklänge, handgemacht. Selbst Knopflers Gesang nervt diesmal nicht. Und auch die Bonusstücke sind hörenswert.
Der Dolby-Atmos-Mix ist sehr frontlastig, sprich konservativ, dafür hat man aber das Gefühl, regelrecht in Wohlklang zu baden - keine Gimmicks. Das t aber zur Musik ist dann doch mehr als erweitertes Stereo. Der Sound ist echt klasse und ich bedaure nicht, beim SDE-Shop in die Blue-ray investiert zu haben.

Mark Knopfler has nailed it on this recording. The depth and transcendence of this recording are beyond belief. Beautiful mastering. The music surrounds you. If you have a good copy it is hard to match.

What a horror quality of this record. Ordered twice and returned to the seller! Scratches, clicks and pops... Unbelievable!!! New stuff today is much worse than the earlier prints! It's all about profit, what a shame for the money and resources! Horror! Will not buy this record again, what a pity for the great music!
