I really hope this gets repressed at some point, but given that it's Southern Lord, I really doubt that'll happen. -
“Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I” is the name of Earth’s new album and also the name of the chosen to analyze song.
The work lasts even 20 minutes during which zillions of visuals shoot forth. The “old school” is being noticeable -- bass guitar phlegmatically varies in low tones while viscous beats of drums with lucid plates invites for a calm swing. Carlson’s guitar just fascinates – it is the high pilotage which reminds of the olden group The Doors. Well-suited violin and subtle analog audio effects helps to feel life of the work at its full.
“Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I” is high post-rock expression to which every rocker should pay attention.
