Scooter's early singles are all iconic. This group has such a power of musical creations, it's fascinating!
This piece is very popular with ravers and clubbers, moreover I often see it on facebook groups of "classic trance".
"Rhapsody In E" contains all the necessary ingredients to spend a spellbinding moment of mental escape. What a melody !!
A deep understanding radiates with every beat, the magic goes very deep under the skin and even touches the tissue which then instantly vibrates through you.
You can be sure that this song will make you dive deeper inside yourself and draw great emotion from within your soul !
With Hyper Hyper, Scooter achieves an international breakthrough, the title entering many European charts. A very famous wave that made the euphoria of a whole generation of clubbers !

HP Baxxter’s mcing is an absolute assault on the ears. However, Unity Without Words and Rhapsody In E are the tracks that make this vinyl special. There is no doubt about that.

Does anybody know who did the vocals on the "Spanish Fly Tip" version? It's obviously not H.P. -

Why is this so expensive? only the artwork is different. The tracks are exactly the same found on the much more common Club Tools CDM press. Unlike the rare Scooter single "Back In Ireland" which despite being mostly the same as "Back In The UK" it does have a difference in the lyrics.
LOL @ one copy for sale for 150 Euros. Don't know why would anyone bother spend 50$+ for a rarer version of a CDM which can be found for pennies. I know: Hardcore Scooter collectors. -

SCOOTER - Hyper Hyper!
Review by Jude Kuzma, a.k.a. 'Bulletix'
Scooter have been one of my biggest musical influences of all time. They have been creating so much good songs from 1994 to 2004, and I pretty much prefer their earlier and better songs (from the mid 90's era) since the sounds and instruments sound very unique and the songs have a great deal of creativity.
My most favourite Scooter song of them all is definitely 'Hyper Hyper!', a song that was previously an original instrumental track by Scooter’s keyboardist and sound-engineer Rick J. Jordan. There is brilliant creativity in the sonic aspects of Hyper Hyper, as well as the musical aspects, and Hyper Hyper was actually one of two Scooter songs (alongside the second B-side 'Rhapsody in E') that really influenced the music to my pop track 'Sit Back & Enjoy the Ride!'.
The format I'm reviewing today is the 3-track digital format of Hyper Hyper. Surprisingly, all of the tracks on it (Hyper Hyper, Unity Without Words Pt 1, and Rhapsody In E) are in the key signature of G# minor. Amazing! Anyhow, here's my review:
HYPER, HYPER: My most favourite Scooter song of all time, Hyper Hyper has a great deal of creativity in its sonic and musical aspects. I especially like the thumping bass-drum, beautiful synth riff at the breakdown, and the cool acid sound near the end. In addition, HP Baxxter’s lyrics are much better than the ones from 2001 onwards. Halfway through, HP says a big shout to US (short for Ultra-Sonic) and to a further thirty DJs who were popular in during the mid-90s. The music to ‘Hyper Hyper’ is very impressive and influential.
(Overall rating: 10/10)
UNITY WITHOUT WORDS (PART 1): Starting off with a nice high-pitched metallic synth-sound and adding in beautiful 'underwater' sine and square sounds, this song is unique and creative. It also incorporates an identically similar acid line to Hyper Hyper. Maybe the intro is a bit long and the chord progression repetitive, but it’s well-structured and very creative. It has a very interesting techno/happy hardcore drumbeat as well.
(Overall rating: 10/10)
RHAPSODY IN E: This simple but infectious song is probably Scooter’s most experimental and relaxing trance song. A more psytrance-based B-side, 'Rhapsody In E' uses the same underwater sine and square sounds and an identical introduction, except without the high-pitched metallic synth and the tempo is much slower. There is a very interesting sample-based 'breathy voice' synth-sound as well, which I think may have probably come from a Waldorf Microwave 1 rack synth. The basic 909 bass-drum really pumps up the song too. After the first refain, the song adds in some acid synths, a choir, and a lovely piano melody in the breakdown before the next drumbeat kicks in. Overall, this song is really unique, impressive and interesting.
(Overall rating: 10/10)
I really have to say, Hyper Hyper is the most interesting and influential Scooter single ever, musically and sonically. The uniqueness and experimentation in all three songs certainly gives them a freshness and a relaxed feel. I would most definitely give this single a 10/10 rating. For all you Scooter fans who do online shopping, I would strongly recommend this single (the 3-track digital format) because the songs in it are so good and unique in of timbre and sonic elements as well as musicality.

You might want to check out track B2: "Rhapsody in E", an epic trance anthem you would'nt expect immediately on the b-side of this record. Goosebumps from beginning till the end! -

Indeed, the lyrics of Hyper hyper are based in Ultra-Sonic's tune Annihilating rhythm, but this does not make Hyper hyper a copy. We are talking about two completely musicaly different songs. The main sequence melody is one of the best i've ever heard in a song and i had the opportunity to watch it live, so some of you might understand the feelings i felt at that time. Unity without words part I and Rhapsody in E share the same introduction. They don't transmit in comparison with Hyper hyper the same energy. In fact Hyper hyper is for dancing the other two are for relaxing. Back in time? They are these typical trance gems hidden in B-sides, staying forever in your mind with this nostalgic, mind travelling mood.
Although Scooter have covered, borrowed, call it however you want, numerous songs, still remain legend. And yes, I don't agree with this "policy" of covering songs, however, they have established a huge name in the dance music industry. We have to compromise with the fact that they are not the only ones that do it, yet, they do it very well. Ok it's a little annoying but let's face it, this is it.
