this reissue of Akarma really shines…. beautiful sound and beautiful cover... fantastic photo with Vic Vergeat before and after lunch on the back cover of the beautiful attached book -

I unfortunately have to agree to the many reviews online - this LP has obviously been pressed for a poor source (CD, I guess). Therefore the sound quality is not thrilling at all. It's still great music, but nothing for the LP-listening enthusiast. -

Am I the only who thinks Toad (4) - B.U.F.O. (Blues United Fighting Organization) should be merged with this Master Release? -

this was a great japan reissue in a mini lp sleeve back in 08, great lp replication of this early 70s toad release!!! -

The 20 page booklet is missing in my copy - factory sealed. -

I listened to it many times in Flac and on youtube .. I finally got my hands on a 1st press for a ridiculous price .. but what an album !! what sound !!
From the Stoner before the Stoner, it's crazy that these guys didn't have any success outside of their home country (Switzerland) at the time..
a very very happy music lover collector !! -

Okay, look, so this thing says 'Licensed by Vic Vergeat' on the back cover middle bottom. The sleeve and vinyl quality are great, fantastic even.
The legitimacy, source/sound quality is always the questionable part of an Akarma release. Now, I find the sound of this weirdly acceptable, not from master tapes surely. However whatever source they used they did a decent job with it, I've heard other people describe the sound as a bit flat, I didn't notice that too much played through a tube amp. I'd imagine it was sourced from CD.
Can only hope this is legitimately authorized by Vic.
