Electric Light Orchestra – Face The Music

re: Gold Mastersound CD - nothing comes close to this version sonically.
Low distortion, not mastered loud and therefore zero clipping (which mars the otherwise decent Palmaccio mastering from the 2000s).
During "One Summer Dream" on good speakers (not headphones) you hear the recording move forward & backward in 3D space from the phased tape effects.

This is a great LP and all but who in the hell payed $350 for a copy of it? 😂

My copy which matches this entry also has stampings of initials on the run-outs: Side 1 has what could be A II (or II V) and Side 2 has ML (for the Mastering Lab, Los Angeles). Perhaps this is an oversight by the person who added this entry.

'...and text on bottom rim (manf'd by)'. Where? What bottom rim? Is that meant to refer to 'Printed and Made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.'? My copy matches here but without the RA 2 and RL 1 on the runouts. My copy has V II (or A II, or II V depending on which angle it's viewed) stamped sideways on side 1, and ML [for Mastering Lab] stamped on side 2.

1975 ELO classic with lots of great tunes including the instrumental opener Fire On High.

My favourite ELO album, encountered a copy of this by chance. I have no. 440.

i assume around 5000 pressings?

Dull, monophonic like stereo where everything seems to close to the centre, and narrow. Flip the polarity switch. I jest you not!

Mine came in a boxed set with other ELO titles & this is the closest release page that I can find to match it.
